Dr. Tom Kabau is a Senior partner in charge of international law and research at Kabau Advocates. He is also a Senior Lecturer and Chair of the Law, Science and Technology Department at the School of Law, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He has previously served as a Chair of Department at the Africa Nazarene University Law School. His academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Public International Law from the University of Hong Kong, and Master of Laws (LLM) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from the University of Nairobi. He has previously been a Research Fellow at Utrecht University and was a Transnational Law Summer Institute Fellow at King’s College London. In addition, he has a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Dr. Kabau has various publications in the form of books, book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has also served as a peer-reviewer of articles submitted to journals. Dr. Kabau has also presented papers on diverse legal issues in international and local conferences. He has previously provided research and consultancy services to various organisations. In addition, he is a member of various professional bodies, including the Law Society of Kenya.
